Salvador Juanpere

(Reus, Tarragona, 1953 - )

Through his early work in figuration, Salvador Juanpere explored aesthetic research into primeval forms, manifesting a will for their revival. The symbiosis between the natural world and artifice, seen through materials taken from either nature or from industrial sources (such as glass and steel), led in the 1990s to a body of work related to science and philosophy. His work then became increasingly three-dimensional as he introduced tools and receptacles, vectors of a fundamental effort to reflect upon the process of artistic creation.
